Our acrylic metallic paints are specially designed for use on furniture and cabinets. These paints will dry very hard and durable. Paint an under coat of Paint Couture in a color similiar to the metallic paint, for example, use British Grey under Silver Star or Antique Silver. Under Pale Gold and Rich Gold Russian Red works very well. Under Couture Copper Peace or Madgascar Mocha is beautiful.
Brilliant White contains extra large mica particles and it creates a beautiful sparkle. Use it over any color Paint Couture.
Like Brilliant White our new metallic colors, Dazzling Aluminum and Stardust, have that extra sparkle. We recommend a base coat of Paint Couture under the Metallic Paints. For Stardust - Peace is a good choice and for Dazzling Aluminum - British Grey is a good choice.
Shake or stir these metallic paints well before use. Metallics dry quickly, apply with a well loaded brush and finish off by brushing in one long smooth stroke in the same direction.

Metallic paints are considered low VOC and contains less than 100 g/l of VOC’s.
The Couture Metallic paints are not recommended for use on bare, or unpainted metal. If you need to prime we recommend XIM UMA Primer for your metal parts. If the pulls or knobs are a baked on finish you can just paint on top of the finish.
